Wildlife and Drought Conditions

Please remain vigilant in observing our local Wildlife and their movements during the drought conditions. Alligators, Frogs, Turtles and other Wildlife that rely on wet conditions will be on the move - looking for a nice wet place to call home. At times, this movement may bring them closer to us that we’d like. This is instinctive actions on their part - a battle to stay alive.
If you encounter Vicious or Nuisance Animals:
Wild and exotic animal nuisance reports should be referred to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at 866-FWC-GATOR (866-392-4286) .
If the animal is a domestic or feral animal, such as dog, cat, horse, etc. - it is best to contact your County Animal Control Office or the Humane Society. For more information, call Animal Services at 744-5660. Animal Services is located at 440 Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, Florida.
